You can’t get to the train station before it starts raining.
（雨が降り始める前に駅に行くことはできません。）

get to は、「～に着く、到達する」という意味です。特定の場所や行動、状態に到達することを表現する表現方法です。それだけでなく、get to the top（頂点に達する）のように、努力を経て目標に到達するという意味でも用いられます。

また、類似の表現に arrive at があります。

get to は到達までの過程や努力を強調します。例えば、I got to the airport after a long journey.（長い旅の後、私は空港に到着した）という文では、旅行中の困難や時間がかかったことに焦点が当てられています。

一方、arrive at は、単純に目的地に到着することを表現します。
